Standesamt Schloss Suresnes is often named as one of the top Venues for a marriage and official wedding registration in Munich. Schloss Suresnes is more a romantic and intimate venue for intimate weddings that remind us about the history of a Munich town. 

History of the venue. The exact architect of Schloss Suresnes remains uncertain. Historical records go to  1715-1718.   During the centuries Schloss Suresnes was held through various hands. In the 19th century, it was known as “Steinheilschlössl” after mathematician and astronomer who resided there, Carl August von Steinheil. In 1869 the renowned sculptor Elisabet Ney also called this romantic castle as home. At the end of the 19th century, Schloss Suresnes became a popular place for young artists. In 1937, the Archbishop’s Office of Munich and Freising took care of the castle. Since 1967 under the care of the Catholic Academy of Bavaria Schloss Suresnes has been used as a prestigious venue for conferences.

Nowadays you can have official registration of your marriage in Munich here. Be aware that the amount of time will be extremely limited. As a photographer, I have a feeling that this venue is one of the most strict coming to timing to a wedding photography there. Even though the staff is friendly. 

What to expect from Schloss Suresnes as a venue on your wedding day? Standesamt Schloss Suresnes offers a perfect place for intimate weddings. Be sure to confirm the maximum guest capacity for the ceremony room at Standesamt Schloss Suresnes.

You will be allowed to wait in one hall in advance before the ceremony. With a strict limit of time, please, be ready to use this time for wedding photography with your partner. The dedicated official ceremony room provides an elegant space that can be personalized with flowers and decorations. I also like natural light that comes out from big windows. 

Standesamt Schloss Suresnes also has a nice French-style garden. You can have a look at it during the ceremony. When the sun is out and there is a light breeze it gets even more beautiful. I have been invited as a wedding photographer here many times. Each time I kindly ask the staff of Standesamt to allow a quick photo session in part of the garden. You are not allowed to go farther or deeper inside it. I assure you, that we will use the allowed time as effectively as we can. Be prepared mentally, don’t get anyhow disappointed. Wedding day is a special day and we want it to go smoothly and positively. I just need your positive approach and trust for photography :) We will create a collection of photos that capture your feelings during the day.
