WHEELING HEART

A New Look at People with Disabilities

WE TALK ABOUT LOVE AND ARE FASCINATED BY UNEXPECTED BEAUTY. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO THESE CONCEPTS.

We offer a direct look into the eyes of the people that are rarely seen on the streets. A direct look into the eyes of the people that despite the conditions of our imperfect infrastructure continue to lead an active lifestyle and make maximum use of the opportunities that they have.

The project is interesting for everybody who is aware of the fragility and value of the human health.

You dive into the gloss atmosphere of the fashion world, a very special one, the one you have never seen before.

This is a game that will show the person in all his or her depth in the photo shoot. It is a game where, through the world of how our hero imagines him- or herself to look like, we show them as they really are.

THE PROJECT GOAL

To change how society relates to people in wheelchairs.

To show people in wheelchairs as equal partners.

To draw the audience’s attention to the problems that physically-challenged people face with getting around, as well as the benefits that better accessibility could bring.

CHARACTERS

The project participants are active, charismatic, and remarkable people who are wheelchair-dependent. They participate in sports, dancing, fencing, organize social and theatre projects, and do much more.

How we created Wheeling heart project

Wheeling heart movie was made from the intervies with the creator of the project, Inna Zaytseva and several members of the team. It includes 21 video backstages from the shootings of the project in different countries.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Inna. Each of us strives to be a professional in our field. I believe that if you put all your skills and soul into a good cause, the world will become a better place.

My mother faced the need to use a wheelchair. By the example of my family, I know how simple things can be difficult for others, and how a ramp can change the life of a loved one.

So the story of the Wheeling Heart Project began with a coincidence of personal circumstances. I wanted to create a project that could inspire people with and without limitations. To bring these two worlds closer together. I think I did it.
